Vienne ou Vienna ou Wien

Hi everybody !

I'm very thankful to all the British and American people who has read our awesome blog ! So thank you ever ! I hope you can understand French but, if you can't, only read this article and the Little Dream's one.
I wanted to write an article about Vienna so, I do it right now but in English.
I went in Vienna in winter and I spent five days there. The weather was so cold ! I was totally freezy !
There're lots of sights such as the Hofburg palace, the many museums, the Osterreich Parlament... The streets are nice and lively, and really clean. It sounds strange but up the trashcans, you can see little things (yes, I really don't know what they are) where the smokers can put their cigarettes out to leave them. What an amazing town !

Let's start this article with the visit of the city :

The Hofburg palace is a old palace which was built for the Habsbourg imperial family but now, the president works there. It has already been enlarged, so it's got many architectural styles. Beautiful ! It's got a big museum too (Sissi + porcelain).

The Osterreich Parlament (Austrian parlement) is a huge white building which shelter the national Austrian parlement. Really great ! And I think it looks like an italian sight called Victor Emmanuel Monument but not a lot.

The Rathaus is the town hall. It looks like a church with its kind of bell tower !

The Saint Etienne cathedral is amazing especially during the evening because, when the sun light crosses the stained glass, it throws pink, blue, purple, yellow shadows on the walls and on the floor. Its roof tiles draw the Austro-Hungarian empire symbol. What's more, this cathedral has got a bell tower which is 137m high.

You can also see lots of museums :
The National Museum of Art in Maria Theresien Platz
Next to Vienna, the Schonbrunn palace is so nice that it's one of the most populated sights in Austria. There're big gardens and a huge palace with the Sissi museum (because Sissi lived there).

The Karlskirche (also called Saint Charles church) is a very original church because it seems be a turkish mosque but it doesn't. Unfortunately, you've got to pay to go inside and I think you should because it's absolutely awesome. There is a scaffold which permit to see closer the ceiling. Let's see !

The Secession House is a little white strange building. But it's nice like all the monuments in Vienna.

Let's concluse with the Austrian speciality : the Schnitzel ! Its a kind of amazing breaded cutlet but thinner.
